Key Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to perform the following duties;
· Monitor and ensure all programme and administrative spending align with donor-approved budgets.
· Prepare bank reconciliation statements, expenditure forecasts, income and expenditure statements, and balance sheets.
· Ensure compliance with audit controls and donor requirements, including preparing year-end financial statements and facilitating timely completion for audits.
· Ensure adherence to procurement procedures, maintaining appropriate documentation for all payments.
· Prepare audit files, including schedules and draft accounts, and assist in the preparation of audit certificates and management reports.
· Compile donor fund statements with variance analysis and consolidated financial reports.
· Manage and maintain electronic transactions, scheduling payments with clients and service providers.
· Maintain a fixed asset register.
· Perform accounting analysis for accounts payable, receivable and reconciliations.
· Ensure payment and posting of supplier invoices on the accounting system using on line banking payment system.
· Oversee tax payments, National Pension Scheme (NAPSA) contributions and annual returns.
· Manage payroll systems, ensuring proper deductions and timely payments to relevant authorities.
· Control cash flow and cash management liaising with banks as necessary.
· Maintain internal controls in line with organizational guidelines and financial policies.
· Perform other functions as assigned by the CEO.
