JOB ADVERT – SALES ASSISTANT (X 01)
Aller Aqua Zambia Limited invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Sales Assistant. The role reports to the Sales & Marketing Manager and will be based in Siavonga, Zambia.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Process customer orders and invoices in the sales system accurately.
- Ensure payments are recorded correctly and receipts are issued promptly.
- Maintain an updated daily log of walk-in clients and sales activities.
- Support the Sales Supervisor in meeting daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
- Maintain organized front-desk records including customer order books, registers, and inquiry logs.
- Reconcile daily sales transactions and submit reports to the Sales Supervisor.
- Provide accurate information on Aller Aqua products, prices, promotions, and stock availability.
- Guide clients through the purchasing process and respond to product-related queries.
- Liaise with the warehouse/distribution team to ensure seamless customer order fulfilment.
- Assist in collecting feedback from clients and escalating any complaints to the relevant departments.
- Ensure availability of brochures, price lists, promotional materials, and forms.
- Observe customer flow and alert management of peak times requiring additional support.
- Maintain a courteous customer-focused relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
QUALIFICATION, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES :
- Full Grade Twelve School Certificate (GCE)
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Aquaculture, Sales & Marketing, Business Administration or related business qualification.
- Advanced knowledge in fish nutrition is a plus.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a technical sales role within the aquaculture or related industries.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to handle technical inquiries.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical skills to diagnose problems and recommend effective solutions to customers
- Agility digital proficiency and uncompromising ethics
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and providing sales support.
- Basic knowledge of sales procedures and point-of-sale systems.
