The Entrepreneurship Intern position is with BongoHive's Entrepreneurship Unit. This is a Part-Time Internship located in Lusaka (Hybrid). The role reports directly to the Entrepreneurship Associates. The internship duration is 6 Months, requiring 3 days per week, working from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (27 hours per week).

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organised, proactive, and enthusiastic Entrepreneurship Intern to support daily operations within the Entrepreneurship Unit.
This role involves assisting Entrepreneurship Associates with programme delivery, founder care, stakeholder engagement, and research-based tasks that contribute to the success of Zambia’s startup ecosystem.

- Academic Status: Recent graduates or students in their final year of study*.
- Recommended Degree/Field: Candidates should ideally be pursuing or have completed a degree in one of the following fields (or a closely related one):
- Business Administration/Management
- Project Management
- Information Technology/Computer Science
- Economics/Finance
- Communications/Public Relations

Key Responsibilities
Coordination & Programme Support
- Support project management, including contributing to work plans, tracking deliverables, and coordinating activities across the Entrepreneurship Unit
- Manage the application and communications processes for entrepreneurship programmes, ensuring founders and stakeholders receive timely and accurate updates.
- Be present for weekly and monthly staff meetings, providing updates on learnings, achievements, lessons, opportunities, and challenges.
- Provide facilitation and tech support during programme sessions, workshops, and events.
- Assist with coordinating entrepreneurship programmes, events, and internal activities.
- Shadow Entrepreneurship Associates to understand internal processes and support execution.
Administrative & Operational Support
- Assist with documentation, scheduling, file management, and general programme logistics.
- Maintain organised records and support smooth administrative workflows.
Founder Care & Stakeholder Engagement
- Support communication with founders, mentors, and partners.
- Coordinate check-ins, follow-ups, and maintain positive stakeholder relationships.
Research & Case Study Development
- Conduct research to support programme improvements and founder needs.
- Develop business case studies on Zambian companies (training provided).

- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Ability to effectively use digital tools (Google Workspace, Slack)
- Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and digital systems quickly to support programme operations.
- Ability to work within a tech-first, fast-paced, asynchronous environment.
- Professional attitude, strong work ethic, and positive communication style.
- Basic competence in research, problem-solving, and business analysis.
- Added Advantage: Experience in leadership roles (student clubs, societies, projects), exposure to project management or event coordination, experience working with SMEs, startups, or entrepreneurship-related activities, or experience with writing, research, or case-study development.
