Position Overview

The Key Account Manager – Retail is responsible for driving revenue growth, customer acquisition, relationship management, and service delivery within the retail sector. The role focuses on managing and expanding cGrate’s portfolio of retail clients, including retail chains, restaurants, oil marketing companies (OMCs), general distributors, and wholesalers. The position requires a strong focus on understanding client needs, cross-selling cGrate’s products and services, and ensuring consistent, high-quality customer support.

Responsibilities

Manage and grow key retail accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
Identify and recruit new retail clients for cGrate’s products and services.
Promote and sell the following business lines to retail customers:
Airtime and Bill Payments
Merchant and Online Payments
Bulk Payments
Cash Deposits and Cash Withdrawals
Develop and execute sales strategies specific to the retail segment to meet revenue targets.
Maintain regular engagement with clients to understand their business needs and propose tailored solutions.
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely resolution of customer queries and service requests.
Prepare and deliver business presentations, proposals, and performance reports for retail clients.
Conduct market analysis to identify new opportunities and trends in the retail space.
Work closely with the Head – Corporate Sales to align retail sales objectives with the company’s strategic goals.

Accountability and Performance Measures

· Achievement of assigned revenue targets for all business lines under the retail segment.

· Growth in number and value of active retail accounts.

· Customer satisfaction and retention rates within the retail portfolio.

· Timely reporting and accurate sales forecasts.

· Compliance with company sales processes and service standards.

Organizational Alignment

· Reports directly to the Head – Corporate Sales.

· Works closely with Operations, IT, and Customer Experience teams to ensure efficient service delivery.

Qualifications

· Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or any related field.
