Thorntree River Lodge, a safari destination nestled on the river banks of mighty Zambezi river in the Mosi-Oa Tunya National Park, is seeking an experienced and passionate individual to come on board and join our dynamic team in the capacity of Housekeeper. This is an exceptional opportunity to work in one of Africa’s most pristine and remote wilderness areas, delivering unforgettable experiences to our local international guests.
Position : Housekeeper
Reporting to : Head Housekeeper
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning the villas as per style and standards policy and procedures
- Dusting shelves, furniture
- Replenishing amenities used by guests
- Making beds
- Reporting maintenance issues to the head house keeper.
- Any issues relating to guests to be reported to the head house keeper immediately.
- Respect guests property and valuables at all times
- Ensure guests laundry is done and returned to the guest within the lodge standards timeline.
- Ensure issues pertaining to guests personal belongings are reported immediately to the head housekeeper
- Maintaining hygiene standards at all times i.e clean uniform daily, no body odour, neatly groomed etc
Requirements:
- Full grade 12 certificate
- Certificate in Hospitality Management or relevant qualification
- Minimum of 2 years work experience preferably in a safari environment.
- Good communication skills
