- SITE AGENT / ENGINEER
- Role: Overall technical supervision and quality control of the site.
- Key Duties:
- Supervising civil works including concrete pouring, reinforcement, and earthworks.
- Ensuring compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Managing daily site activities and coordinating with subcontractors.
- Conducting inspections and approving works before pours.
- Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in civil works supervision.
- Registered with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) and the Engineering Registration Board (ERB) with valid practicing license.
2. SURVEYOR
- Role: Site setting out and verification of works.
- Key Duties:
- Setting out all areas for excavation, foundations, and roadworks.
- Verifying levels, dimensions, and lines against design drawings.
- Conducting daily survey checks to ensure accuracy.
- Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Land Surveying or Geomatics.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a construction environment.
- Registered with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) and the Engineering Registration Board (ERB).
3. GENERAL FOREMAN
- Role: Direct supervision of labour and plant operations.
- Key Duties:
- Direct supervision of skilled and unskilled labour gangs.
- Allocating tasks and ensuring work schedules are met.
- Enforcing safety measures and maintaining good housekeeping on site.
- Requirements:
- Relevant Craft Certificate or extensive practical background.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction site supervision.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
4. HEALTH AND SAFETY OFFICER
- Role: Ensure the safety of all personnel and assets on the construction site by implementing and monitoring safety protocols.
- Key Duties:
- Conducting daily site inspections and risk assessments (specifically for excavation, heavy plant, and working at height).
- Leading daily "Toolbox Talks" and ensuring 100% compliance with PPE usage.
- Investigating accidents or near-misses and maintaining safety records (RAMS, Incident Reports).
- Enforcing the stop-work authority when unsafe practices are observed.
- Requirements:
- Must hold a valid NEBOSH IGC (International General Certificate) or IOSH Managing Safely certification or any relevant qualifications.
- Minimum 2 years of experience specifically in the Construction Industry (Civil Works).
- Practical knowledge of the Zambian Occupational Health and Safety Act (or Factories Act).
- Valid First Aid Certificate is an added advantage.
- Willingness to camp/live on-site at the project location.
