BATTERY KING, a company in the AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY is looking for skilled, passionate and highly motivated STORES OFFICER to join our team in LUSAKA. To be considered in this role, the ideal candidate should meet the criteria below.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect and record incoming materials and supplies.
- Maintain accurate stock records and update inventory systems.
- Issue materials as per authorized requests.
- Conduct routine stock verification and reconcile discrepancies.
- Ensure proper storage and labeling of items.
- Prepare inventory reports for management review.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.
- Monitor expiry dates (if applicable) and prevent wastage.
- Supervise stores assistants and support staff
Skills
- Inventory Management – Monitoring stock levels, tracking usage, and preventing shortages or overstocking.
- Record Keeping & Documentation – Maintaining accurate stock registers, GRNs, invoices, and issue notes.
- Supply Chain Coordination – Working with , sales, procurement and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Attention to Detail – Ensuring accuracy in stock counts and documentation.
- Stock Auditing – Conducting regular physical stock counts and reconciliations.
- Organizational Skills – Proper arrangement and labeling of materials for easy access.
- Communication Skills – Coordinating with departments, vendors, and management.
- Problem-Solving Ability – Handling discrepancies, damaged goods and stock variances.
- Knowledge of Safety & Compliance – Ensuring proper storage conditions and adherence to company policies.
