Our client, an energy and infrastructure development company operating in Zambia is seeking is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to oversee plant‑wide electrical systems at our power generation facility. The role requires strong technical leadership, regulatory compliance knowledge, and hands‑on experience with industrial‑scale electrical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage electrical design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of plant equipment.
- Ensure strict compliance with electrical standards and international codes.
- Strong commitment to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards, including PPE usage and safe work practices.
- Lead, mentor, and develop junior engineers and technicians.
- Conduct risk assessments to improve system reliability.
- Monitor power usage and optimize plant electrical performance.
- Prepare technical documentation and liaise with suppliers and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- 8–10 years’ experience in power generation or heavy industry.
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, SCADA systems, HV systems, and switchgear.
- EIZ membership is an advantage.
2. Senior Mechanical Engineer

The role demands strong technical expertise and the ability to oversee equipment reliability and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of all mechanical systems.
- Develop preventive maintenance strategies for plant equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical failures and recommend design or operational improvements.
- Coordinate with project and operations teams to ensure plant performance.
- Manage engineering documentation and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- 8–10 years’ experience in mechanical systems, ideally in power generation.
- Proficiency in CAD and mechanical design systems.
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems is essential.
