Purpose of the Role
The Assistant Sales and Marketing Officer II is responsible for accelerating the growth of Four D Security by identifying new business opportunities and maintaining a strong brand presence. This mid-level role requires a strategic approach to selling integrated security solutions—ranging from physical guarding to electronic surveillance—while ensuring high levels of client retention through professional relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and qualify prospects across commercial, industrial, and residential sectors
- Conduct professional pitches and site demonstrations to showcase Four D’s "Deter, Detect, Delay, and Defend" capabilities.
- Assist in drafting technical and financial proposals, ensuring they meet specific client security requirements and company pricing structures
- Manage the end-to-end sales process, from initial inquiry to contract signing and client hand-over to operations.
- Execute marketing initiatives, including digital advertising, email marketing, and community-based outreach
- Monitor the Zambian security landscape to report on competitor pricing, service innovations, and emerging security threats.
- Oversee the distribution and inventory of branded materials (brochures, profiles, and signage).
- Act as a secondary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring service levels meet contractual obligations.
- Conduct regular client satisfaction surveys and report findings to the operational team for service improvement.
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports, meeting quarterly key performance indicators (KPIs) as directed by management.
Technical Competencies
- Deep understanding of security services (Manned Guarding, CCTV, Rapid Response, and Access Control).
- Competence in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and professional social media management (LinkedIn/Facebook).
- Ability to interpret sales data and market trends to adjust outreach tactics.
Behavioral Competencies
- Proven ability to handle objections and close deals in a competitive market.
- High level of integrity, essential for representing a security firm.
- Self-motivated to meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Minimum Qualifications
- Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a sales or marketing role, preferably within the service or security industry.
- A valid driver’s license is highly preferred for client site visits.
