Due to our continued growth and new projects, we are seeking to engage talented and self-driven professionals in the following vacant positions: Job Title: PROCUREMENT OFFICER (1) Location: SOLWEZI Job Purpose The Job Holder shall be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement cycle and ensure that all goods, works, and services are acquired at the best value while strictly adhering to Company’s policies and the Zambian Public Procurement Act (2020).
Key Responsibilities
a. Identification and valuation of potential suppliers, conducting rigorous market research to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
b. Taking the lead in the preparation of bidding documents, requesting for Quotations (RFQs), and invitations to tender and coordinating bid openings.
c. Drafting and managing supplier contracts, monitoring performance KPIs and ensuring compliance with delivery timelines and specifications.
d. Utilising e-GP (Electronic Government Procurement) systems or ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) to track purchase orders, inventory levels, and spend analytics.
e. Ensuring that all activities align with the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS) code of ethics and statutory tax requirements (ZRA/VAT).
f. Preparation of monthly procurement reports, cost-saving analysis, and risk assessment updates for senior management.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
a. Grade 12 Certificate
b. Bachelor’s Degree in Purchasing and Supply, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
c. Must be a valid, registered member of the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS) with a current practicing license.
d. CIPS (Level 4 or higher) or equivalent professional certification is highly desirable.
e. Minimum of 3–5 years of proven experience in a similar procurement role, preferably within the [Industry, e.g., Construction/Public Sector].
f. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Advanced), data visualization tools, and modern ERP system.
