HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER (1)
Location: SOLWEZI
Job Purpose
The Human Resource Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of HR and administration functions, including recruitment, employee relations, payroll administration, and performance monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
a. Managing the end-to-end recruitment process, from drafting job descriptions and sourcing candidates to conducting interviews and onboarding.
b. Coordinating the continuous performance appraisal cycle.
c. Providing guidance on labor legislation; facilitate grievance and disciplinary procedures in accordance with statutory requirements and internal policies.
d. Maintaining and update the Human Resource Information System (HRIS).
e. Overseeing monthly payroll processing, ensuring accurate statutory deductions (NAPSA, PAYE, NHIMA) and timely submission of returns.
f. Implementing initiatives that promote mental health, workplace diversity, and high levels of employee engagement.
g. Identifying training gaps and coordinate internal or external workshops to upskill the workforce.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
a. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Public Administration, or a related Social Science.
b. Must be a fully paid-up member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resources Management (ZIHRM) with a valid 2026 practicing license.
c. 3–5 years of progressive experience in an HR role, with a strong understanding of the Zambian labor market.
d. Proficiency in HRIS software and advanced Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
