WidEnergy is a Zambian renewable energy company providing solar-powered solutions to households and small businesses in underserved communities. As part of its geographical extension of the Solar Home System (SHS) business, WidEnergy is building a sales and distribution network with the objective to deliver, clean, sustainable and affordable energy to more Zambian households in hard to reach areas.
We are now hiring multiple Regional Coordinators to lead the development and performance of several regions across including but not limited to Central, North -Western, Copperbelt and Eastern regions of rural Zambia. This is a key leadership role responsible for building high-performing teams, driving sales growth, and ensuring strong customer service and loan repayment performance.
Role Overview
The Regional Coordinator is responsible for driving sales performance and field execution across a cluster of shops (typically 4–6).
This role sits between the General Manager and field teams and is accountable for sales growth, agent network performance, loan repayment quality, and overall field execution.
This is a highly field-based role, with the majority of time spent coaching Field Sales Officers, supporting agents in the field, and ensuring strong execution at Sales hubs level.
Core Responsibilities
1. Regional Sales Performance (Primary KPI)
· Own and deliver monthly sales targets across all sales hubs in the region
· Track daily and weekly sales performance
· Identify underperformance early and take corrective action
· Ensure consistent sales activity across all locations
2. Agent Network Performance
· Ensure each Field Sales Officer builds and manages a high-performing agents team
· Monitor number of active agents and productivity per agent
· Drive improvements in recruitment quality, activity, and conversion
3. Field Team Management
· Directly manage and coach Field Sales Officers
· Conduct regular field visits and joint sales activities
· Ensure Field Sales Officers actively manage and support agents
4. Loan Repayment & Portfolio Quality
· Work closely with the customer care team for monitoring repayment performance across the region
· Ensure strong customer follow-up through agents
· Intervene early on late payments and high-risk customers
5. Sales Hub & Operations Oversight
· Ensure sales hubs operate effectively and follow procedures
· Coordinate with Hub Operators on inventory and customer service
6. Performance Management & Reporting
· Track key KPIs across sales, teams, and repayment
· Provide weekly updates to management
· Drive accountability across all teams
What Success Looks Like
· Each sales hub has a functioning Field Sales Officer and active agent network
· Sales are consistent and growing
· Clear visibility on agent activity and performance
· Underperformance is actively managed
Candidate Profile
· 3–5+ years experience in field sales, distribution, or agent networks
· Strong track record managing teams and delivering sales targets
· Experience in PAYGO solar, telecom, FMCG, or microfinance is an advantage
· Valid driver’s license and experience driving required
