Key Responsibilities & Duties
Customer Service & Sales
• Welcome and assist all walk-in customers professionally and warmly
• Listen actively to understand customer needs and preferences
• Present appropriate products, fabrics, and solutions clearly
• Close sales confidently using consultative selling techniques
• Achieve monthly individual sales targets
Quotations & Follow-Up
• Assist the Admin Officer in preparing accurate quotations
• Follow up on all pending quotes within 24 hours
• Maintain a personal follow-up tracker for leads and pending customers
• Notify customers of order updates and delivery timelines
Product Knowledge
• Maintain thorough knowledge of all curtain, blind, and soft furnishing products
• Stay updated on new product arrivals, promotions, and pricing
• Be able to advise customers on fabric, style, lining, and fitting options
Site Visits & Client Measurements
• Visit client premises to take accurate window and curtain measurements when required
• Use approved measurement sheets and tools — record dimensions, fittings, fabric requirements,
and site conditions accurately
• Conduct an on-site needs assessment with the client — discuss style, function, lighting, and
preferences in context
• Submit measurement records promptly to the Admin Officer and Production Supervisor for
quotation and production planning
• Represent the company professionally on every site visit — uniform, punctuality, and respectful
conduct in client homes and offices
Store Presentation
• Maintain a clean, neat, and professionally presented showroom at all times
• Ensure samples and displays are orderly and well-presented
• Report damaged or outdated displays to the supervisor
Administration
• Record all customer interactions and sales accurately
• Submit daily sales reports as required
• Ensure payments are processed correctly and receipts are issued
Role Requirements
Minimum Qualifications & Education
• Zambia School Certificate (Grade 12) required
Experience Required
• Minimum 1–2 years in a retail sales or customer-facing role
• Experience in home décor, textiles, or interior products advantageous
Skills & Competencies
• Strong verbal communication and listening skills
• Confident and persuasive selling ability
• Basic numeracy for pricing and quotation assistance
• Computer literate — point of sale, basic email

Working Conditions & Special Requirements
