Minimum Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Full Grade Twelve Certificate
- Related Degree in Information Technology / Information Systems or Computer Sciences
- 2+ years IT developer experience using a combination of technologies (.Net – C#, Angular, JAVA Script, CSS, PHP, Web API 2.0, Entity Framework, LINQ, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML 5, CSS 3, Bootstrap, JQX Widgets, developing databases using SQL and MySQL
- 5 years or more years in IT business/Industry
- Experience with client-side JavaScript frameworks, ideally one or more of Ember, Angular, React, Node, Backbone, JQuery or similar.
- Server-side development experience, ideally with Ruby on Rails, Phoenix, Python, PHP, Java Servlets or similar OOO and functional languages.
- Relational database development experience, ideally SQL and MySQL with some NoSQL.
- Mobile and responsive development experience, either web or native.
- Some experience with hybrid mobile development and deployment wrappers like Cordova, Ionic or similar.
- Experience with WebSocket and RESTful, JSON or similar APIs.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Information Technology / Information Systems or Computer Sciences

K E Y P E R F O R M A N C E A R E A S
Development of IT Business Solutions
- Analyzing and synthesizing business requirements and converting the requirements into IT business solutions.
- Developing or recommending solutions using a variety of techniques to meet business requirements.
- Collaborating closely with Business Analysts to implement requirements and providing necessary guidance to testers during the QA process.
- Ensuring timely delivery of projects and high-quality solutions.
Design of IT Business Solution.
- Thoroughly documenting technical designs (UID, System Architecture Design, File and Database Design) of IT Business Solutions before and during development.
- Producing clearly documented code to facilitate solution maintenance.
- Successfully producing error-free (bug-free) IT Business Solutions.
Unit Testing (Quality Assurance)
- Reviewing and validating each deliverable in the detailed system design document through unit testing to ensure that each system component is executing properly without bugs.
- Documenting all discovered and reported bugs.
- Ensuring discovered software bugs are being resolved in a timely manner.
Application Deployment
- Identifying and recommending platforms for application deployment.
- Ensuring applications are being deployed in line with system architecture and best practices.
Stakeholder Management
- Maintaining and updating the IT asset register with accurate device, user, and location details.
- Understanding and negotiating the needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders.
- Collaborating with Group IT to develop applications that are aligning with the Group/organization’s goals, as well as customer needs.
- Managing relationships with service providers.
Maintenance of IT Business Solutions
- Monitoring and ensuring optimal performance of applications.
- Collaborating with IT Security to conduct regular security checks and providing solutions to security threats, viruses, or errors that may hinder application performance.
- Performing necessary bug fixes, updates, and upgrades on applications in line with application lifecycles and change management processes.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Staying up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Identifying opportunities for innovation and process improvements.
- Developing and implementing new technologies and processes.
