Dye Sublimation Printing Specialist
Job Summary
The Dye Sublimation Printing Specialist is responsible for operating, maintaining, and optimizing dye sublimation printing equipment to produce high-quality printed products. The role involves preparing artwork for production, managing color accuracy, monitoring print quality, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring production targets are met while maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate dye sublimation printers, heat presses, and related finishing equipment.
- Prepare and process digital artwork files for printing.
- Conduct color matching and calibration to ensure consistent print quality.
- Monitor print runs and inspect output for defects, alignment, and color accuracy.
- Transfer printed designs onto fabrics, garments, promotional items, and other substrates using heat press equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of printers, presses, and production equipment.
- Troubleshoot printing and equipment issues to minimize downtime.
- Manage inventory of inks, transfer papers, fabrics, and other consumables.
- Maintain production schedules and meet daily output targets.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and quality control standards.
- Keep accurate production records and report operational issues to supervisors.
- Collaborate with designers, production staff, and customers to ensure specifications are met.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, certificate, or equivalent qualification.
- Experience operating dye sublimation printing equipment preferred.
- Knowledge of large-format digital printing processes.
- Familiarity with heat transfer and textile printing techniques.
- Basic computer skills and experience with design or RIP software.
- Understanding of color management and print quality control.
- Ability to read and interpret job specifications and artwork files.

Preferred Experience

- Experience with software such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, or RIP software.
- Experience operating industrial heat presses and large-format printers.
