Role Purpose
To oversee daily workshop operations, lead a technical team, and ensure high-quality vehicle repairs and customer satisfaction while maintaining strict safety and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead, assign tasks, and mentor workshop technicians to optimize workflow and build team skills.
- Quality & Efficiency: Monitor repair progress, conduct final quality inspections, and ensure work meets manufacturer guidelines.
- Technical Support: Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues.
- Communication: Coordinate updates between workshop staff, service advisors, and management.
- Safety & Cost Control: Enforce health and safety regulations while managing resources to minimize waste.
Requirements
- Education: Full Grade 12 Certificate and a Diploma/Degree in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: 5+ years in an automotive workshop, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Heavy-duty truck experience is a strong advantage.
- Skills: Proficient in vehicle diagnostics, workshop software, and interpreting technical manuals. Knowledge of OEM standards is required.
- License: Valid Driver’s License.
