Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Corporate Accountant to join our dynamic logistics company. This role requires a seasoned professional capable of overseeing and executing the full accounting cycle — from daily bookkeeping to preparing trial balances, leading internal audits, and analyzing financial data to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, in-depth knowledge of accounting principles, and a proactive approach to continuous process improvement within a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full Accounting Cycle Management: Manage day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Trial Balance Preparation: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual trial balances, ensuring all financial entries are accurate and complete.
- Financial Reporting: Assist with and prepare financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Internal Auditing & Compliance: Conduct internal reviews and audits to ensure data accuracy, compliance with internal controls, and adherence to accounting policies.
- Data Review & Analysis: Analyze financial data and trends to identify discrepancies, recommend corrective actions, and provide insights to management.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the budgeting process and provide input for financial forecasting.
- Process Improvement: Evaluate existing financial systems and processes, and implement improvements for greater accuracy, efficiency, and control.
- Tax & Statutory Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate filings of VAT, corporate tax, and other statutory obligations in collaboration with external auditors or tax consultants.
- Liaison Duties: Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and other external partners as needed.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff and act as a key point of contact for finance-related queries.
