Position Overview:
This technical expert will provide high-level advisory services to governments in other countries, leveraging MCI’s Zambian experience to shape ASM formalization policies globally, thereby establishing MCI as a premier technical assistance provider.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance to government ion drafting and implementing legal and regulatory frameworks for ASM.
- Develop and disseminate global public goods, such as model regulatory frameworks, formalization toolkits, and best practice guides.
- Conduct regional and training workshops for government officials and civil society on ASM governance.
- Lead comparative research on ASM formalization models
Qualifications and Experience:
- Advanced degree in Law, Mineral Economics, or Public Policy with a focus on extractives.
- Deep expertise in mining codes and regulatory frameworks across multiple jurisdictions. and more 8+ experience
- Extensive experience providing high-level policy advice to government ministries.
