This three-day executive training, facilitated by Dr. Emmanuel Sakala — Author, Post-Doctoral Scholar, Development and Humanitarian Expert, and Strategic Resource Mobilizer — provides Board Members and Directors with practical, evidence-based approaches to strengthen communication governance, fundraising oversight, and grants acquisition capacity.

- Defining institutional identity and strategic communication frameworks.
- Governance and communication roles of the Board.
- Storytelling for influence, reputation management, and brand diplomacy.

Module 2: The Board’s Role in Fundraising and Resource Mobilization
- Understanding the Board’s fiduciary role in fundraising oversight.
- Structuring Board fundraising committees for accountability and impact.
- Diversifying funding sources across institutional donors, corporates, and philanthropy.
- (Anchored in practical experience mobilizing USD 50M+ in partnerships across Africa, the Netherlands, and Asia Pacific.)
Module 3: Grants Acquisition and Donor Relations
- Mapping donor landscapes and understanding compliance requirements.
- Applying data-driven approaches (including K-Means segmentation) for targeted donor engagement.
- Proposal design, donor negotiation, and relationship cultivation.
- (Based on engagements with EU, DANIDA, FCDO, LEGO Foundation, GAVI, and World Bank.)
Module 4: Strategic Partnerships and Corporate Diplomacy
- Building shared-value partnerships across government, private, and development sectors.
- Leveraging Board networks for influence and strategic collaboration.
- Structuring MOUs and partnership frameworks for long-term sustainability.

Module 5: Building a Sustainable Funding Model
- Developing an organizational Resource Mobilization Strategy and Action Plan.
- Integrating innovative financing and social enterprise models.
- Promoting transparency, accountability, and ethical stewardship.
