Development Aid from People to People (DAPP) has an internship opportunity in the human resources department of its Clothes and Shoes fundraising project.
The position will be based in Ndola.
1. Purpose
The Human Resource (HR) Intern will support the Human Resources team in delivering efficient and effective HR services. This role is ideal for individuals seeking to gain hands-on experience in HR operations, recruitment, employee engagement, and administrative support.
The intern will be guided/directed by the Human Resources Officer
2. Key tasks
2.1 Screen employment applications, schedule interviews and participate in interviews and draft recruitment report.
2.2 Support the on-boarding process, including preparing orientation materials and documents.
2.3 Maintain and update employee records in compliance with the organisation’s policies and regulations.
2.4 Assist in preparing employment Offer letters, contracts and other HR-related documentation.
2.5 Coordinate training sessions and workshops by managing schedules, materials, participant feedback and training records
2.6 Support payroll processing by scrutinizing and collating necessary data.
2.7 Support performance management and disciplinary processes.
2.8 Prepare reports, presentations, and other HR-related documents as required.
2.9 Ensure compliance with labour laws, policies and other HR activities.
2.10 Assist in the implementation and communication of HR policies.
3. Key Qualifications & Requirement
3.1 Completed Degree, or Diploma in Human Resources, between 2021 and 2024.
3.2 Strong organizational and time-management skills.
3.3 Excellent written and verbal communication.
3.4 Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
3.5 Attention to detail and commitment to handle confidential information with absolute discretion.
3.6 Self-motivated, proactive, and willing to learn.
3.7 Team player with a positive attitude.
4. Duration
The internship will be for not more than three months.
