We are seeking a highly specialized and commercially driven Senior Pre-Sales Power Systems Engineer to anchor our energy and power project initiatives. This is a critical, customer-facing role where you will design and propose large-scale electrical and power solutions for major infrastructure projects.
You will be the key technical expert working alongside our sales team, transforming complex customer requirements in the power sector—particularly for transmission lines, electrical substations, and power stations—into technically sound and commercially competitive proposals.
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Design & Engineering: Lead the technical design, architecture, and validation of comprehensive power solutions, including the integration and specification of SCADA systems, protection relays, and control systems.
- Customer Needs Analysis: Attend customer meetings with the sales team to thoroughly understand project specifications, electrical system requirements, operational constraints, and technical evaluation criteria.
- Proposal Development: Own the creation of the technical sections of proposals, including system specifications, engineering drawings (conceptual level), scope of work, and performance metrics.
- Compliance and Tenders: Ensure all proposed solutions meet relevant industry standards, codes (e.g., IEC, ANSI), and local regulatory requirements. Must have working knowledge of tender and procurement processes, including eGP (e-Government Procurement), to ensure accurate and compliant submissions.
- Costing and Vendor Liaison: Develop detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical cost estimates. Maintain strong professional relationships with key power equipment vendors (e.g., Siemens, ABB, GE, etc.) to validate component selection and pricing.
- Technical Presentation: Confidently present proposed designs and technical value propositions to customer engineering teams, project managers, and executive stakeholders.
