Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain an inventory of participating beneficiaries, mapping individual homesteads to implement household payouts based on intervention performance across all 5 zones and any additional areas added to the project in Lusaka Province.
- Assist the SCO in preparing the annual budgets and work plans, particularly for intervention planning. This includes coordinating closely with CTF to plan cattle grazing migration routes and organizing meetings with affected head persons in the areas.
• Support the SCO in ensuring that all research activities are well planned, executed, and reported weekly.
• Coordinate monitoring, data collection, skills development, technical support, and mobilization of community-based entities. Engage zone committees and village leaders in all project activities with full consultation from local stakeholders in each area.
• In collaboration with the Community Facilitator, develop user group information to ensure efficient and effective producer groups, coaching them to develop detailed work plans, entrepreneurial marketing plans, and quarterly update meetings.
• Facilitate training for both farmers and lead farmers in farming, business skills, and record-keeping to ensure food security, while coordinating such efforts with local camp officers under the Ministry of Agriculture.
• Work closely with the Community Facilitator to implement and locally adapt fire management tools at the village and household level, as mandated in the project document design.
• Maintain close collaboration with existing and new partners within the operational area to implement programs.
• Represent the CEO with important stakeholders and at high-level meetings as needed.
• Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Minimum Education, Training, and Experience Requirements:
• Grade 12 certificate
• Degree in agriculture, Community Development, social sciences, or related field
• 2 years’ experience in a related field
• Experience in climate-smart agriculture program implementation
• Strong community engagement skills
• Basic computer skills in MS Office applications
• Adaptability and willingness to work in a rural setup
