Job Summary
The Project Documentation & Compliance Officer will manage all project records and ensure installations comply with Zambian statutory requirements. The role involves liaising with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ), Municipal Council Fire Department, and other regulatory bodies to secure permits and final occupancy certificates.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit fire safety clearance applications to the Municipal Council (Fire Brigade).
- Ensure material certificates meet Zambia Bureau of Standards (ZABS) or equivalent SANS/BS requirements.
- Maintain the “Site Instruction Book” and daily logs in line with Zambian construction contracts.
- Compile the full Safety File (SHE file) for client handover, including:
- EIZ practicing licenses of the project team.
- WCFCB compliance certificates.
- As-Built drawings and O&M manuals.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Business Administration, Project Management, or Public Administration.
- Familiarity with ZPPA procedures and Council by-laws on building safety.
- 2–3 years’ experience in the Zambian construction/engineering sector.
- Valid Zambian Driver’s License.
