Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive PR and communication strategies.
- Manage media relations, including press releases, interviews, and media inquiries.
- Oversee corporate branding, public messaging, and reputation management.
- Coordinate internal communications to ensure consistent messaging across departments.
- Plan and execute PR campaigns, events, and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Monitor media coverage and provide reports and recommendations.
- Manage crisis communication and provide strategic guidance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government bodies, partners, and the public.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in public relations or corporate communications, preferably in the telecommunications or technology sector.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven experience in media relations and crisis communication.
- Ability to develop strategic communication plans and execute them effectively.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of digital communication and social media management.
- Affiliation with Zambia Institute of Public Relations and Communication (ZIPRC) is a must.
