Job Title: Marketing and Business Development Coordinator
Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, values-driven professional to take on the pivotal role of Marketing and Business Development Coordinator. This individual will be responsible for driving the school’s strategic growth by developing and executing comprehensive marketing, business development, and fundraising strategies. The Officer will enhance the school's brand reputation, oversee student recruitment campaigns, identify new revenue opportunities including fundraising and corporate partnerships, and act as the key liaison between the school and the external community, ensuring all activities are deeply rooted in the school’s Jesuit mission and values.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing and Communications
· Strategy Implementation: Develop, implement, and manage integrated marketing and communication plans to achieve student recruitment targets, enhance retention rates, and support fundraising goals.
· Content Management: Create compelling content for various channels, including the school website, social media platforms, e-newsletters, press releases, and print collateral (brochures, prospectuses).
· Brand Stewardship: Ensure consistent application of the school’s brand guidelines across all internal and external communications, reflecting the Jesuit ethos.
· Event Coordination: Plan, promote, and execute key admissions events such as Open Days, information sessions, and school tours.
· Campaign Monitoring: Monitor, analyze, and adjust the effectiveness of marketing campaigns as needed, utilizing data-driven insights.
Business Development, Fundraising, and Community Engagement
· Market Analysis: Conduct ongoing market research and competitive analysis to identify new growth sectors, potential partnerships, and emerging trends in secondary education.
· Revenue Generation & Fundraising: Explore and propose viable commercial activities, grant funding opportunities, and alternative income streams beyond tuition fees. Plan and implement fundraising campaigns, events, and initiatives.
· Corporate Partnerships: Identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with corporate partners to create mutually beneficial sponsorships, donations, and partnerships. Organize and attend networking events.
· Relationship Building: Cultivate strong, sustainable relationships with feeder primary schools, local businesses, alumni networks, and community stakeholders to promote the school's offerings. Work alongside the Alumni relations coordinator to create donor streams from the alumni network.
· Admissions Support: Work closely with the Registrar and the admissions team to manage the inquiry-to-enrolment pipeline and ensure a positive experience for prospective families during the school’s recruitment drive.
Administration and Reporting
· Budget Management: Oversee and manage the marketing and business development budgets efficiently, ensuring maximum ROI.
· Performance Tracking: Utilise Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to track, measure, and report on the effectiveness of all initiatives.
· Strategic Reporting: Prepare and present regular, data-driven reports and recommendations to the School Principal and governing board on the effectiveness of the department.
Qualifications and Attributes
Essential Qualifications & Experience
· Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
· Experience:
o Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in marketing, business development, fundraising, or a similar role.
o Demonstrable experience managing digital marketing campaigns (SEO, social media, email marketing).
o Experience working within an educational setting, non-profit organization, or a values-driven environment is highly desirable.
