Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe and punctual transportation for staff, clients, and guests.
- Plan the best routes ahead of time to avoid traffic, roadwork, and delays.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections including oil levels, tire pressure, brakes, and fuel.
- Keep a meticulous vehicle logbook to track mileage, trip purposes, and fuel consumption.
- Oversee the scheduling of routine maintenance and ensure the vehicle is always clean and presentable.
- Manage vehicle documentation, ensuring insurance, registration, and permits are always up to date.
- Securely transport and deliver sensitive documents, packages, and bank deposits.
- Handle minor roadside emergencies such as changing tires or jump-starting a battery.
- Assist passengers with the loading and unloading of luggage or heavy equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A valid, clean Driver’s License with a proven driving record.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a professional or corporate driver.
- High School Grade 12 Certificate.
- Certification in Defensive Driving or First Aid is highly preferred.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics to identify and report technical issues.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and local traffic regulations.
- Excellent time management skills and a professional, polite demeanor.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or early mornings.
