Job Summary
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Executive Support Officer will be primarily responsible for the provision of administrative, operational, and dedicated project management assistance to the CEO and the Management Committee. The ESO will be the liaison between the executive and other stakeholders, coordinating communication and facilitating decision-making and taking a leading role and coordinating all institutional projects.
Key Attributes & Skills
- Must be able to provide sophisticated calendar management for the CEO.
- Ability to prioritise inquiries and requests while troubleshooting conflicts; make judgements and recommendations to ensure smooth day-to-day engagements.
- Possess a traceable record of having successfully managed substantial or impactiful projects.
- In all executive matters, to serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders by facilitating effective communication.
- Must have high proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) among others.
- Effectively undertake research to aid Management in decision making when required.
- Must have good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must be an effective communicator.
- Must be a team player
- Must have traceable ability to work with minimum supervision.
Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 12 School Certificate with at least a credit in five subjects that must include English & Mathematics.
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or any relevant qualification from a reputable institution.
- A Master’s degree in a related field will be an added advantage.
- Membership to a relevant Professional Body will be an added advantage.
- At least four years’ relevant experience directly linked to supporting an executive office and running projects of notable impact.
