1. BACKGROUND
The ZNFU Properties Limited is a private company incorporated under Cap 388 of the Laws of Zambia as a company limited by shares. The company is wholly owned by the Zambia National Farmers’ Union (ZNFU).
The ZNFU Properties Limited own a two-storey office complex that is rented out to commercial entities. The total available rentable floor space is approximately 2100 square meters. The company does not engage in any other business activity apart from renting out office. The company now seeks to engage an independent external auditor to provide statutory audit services.
2. SCOPE OF THE AUDIT
The auditors shall be responsible for the formulation of an audit opinion on the true and fair presentation of the financial statements in accordance with ISAs (International Standards on Auditing) and will include such tests and verification procedures as the auditors consider necessary under the circumstances.
The audit will cover the financial statements for the five financial years ending 31st December 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025.
3. QUALIFICATIONS
The auditor should be duly registered with the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants and have a valid practicing license. The bidder is also required to include their profile.
4. SPECIFIC DELIVERABLES
The auditor is expected to deliver the following items: a) Audited Financial statement; and b) Management Letter.
5. PAYMENT TERMS
The bidder is required to submit their gross quotations and proposed payment terms.
6. DELIVERY PERIOD
The audit of the 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 financial statement are expected to be concluded within a period of six weeks.
7. REFERENCES OF SIMILAR ASSIGNMENT
The auditor is required to submit at least three traceable references of similar assignments clearly indicating the contact details of the referees.
8. LANGUAGE OF BID DOCUMENT AND NUMBER OF COPIES
The bid document should be in English.
9. DEADLINE
All bids should be titled as ZNFU PROPERTIES LIMITED AUDIT and emailed to ceofarm133@gmail.com. The closing date for receiving bids is Friday 6th February 2026. Hard copies can be deposited in the tender box in the ZNFU Reception area. The bids should be addressed to the Executive Director, ZNFU Properties Limited, Lusaka Showgrounds.
