Rockview University invites applications from qualified and detail-oriented individuals for the position of Assistant Accountant in the Finance Department at its 10 Miles Campus.
This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong accounting knowledge, accuracy, and a commitment to supporting sound financial management within the institution. The successful candidate will contribute to efficient financial operations and compliance with established accounting standards and policies.
Assistant Accountant Position
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, ledgers, and journals.
• Support the processing of payments, receipts, and bank reconciliations.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports.
• Maintain accurate records of invoices, receipts, and supporting documentation.
• Support budget monitoring and expenditure control processes.
• Assist with audit preparations and respond to audit queries when required.
• Ensure compliance with institutional financial policies and procedures.
• Perform any other finance-related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications & Experience
• ZICA LEVEL 2 OR ACCA LEVEL 2.
• Minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience, preferably in an institutional or corporate environment.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and ability to work under minimal supervision.
