Job Title: Legal Assistant

Armaguard Security Limited, a leading security services company in Zambia, invites applications from suitably qualified, experienced, and professional candidates to fill the position of Legal Assistant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Legal Counsel
- To provide legal advice and attend to matters that have a legal bearing arising from the operations of the company
- Prepare and draft legal documents and correspondence
- Draft contracts, agreements, examination of tender documents to ensure they are legally enforceable and are in accordance of the law, rules and regulations
- Conveyancing
- Conduct legal research, gather relevant documentation and write well-reasoned legal opinions on all matters or issues brought to his/her attention.
- Schedule meetings, court dates, and appointments
- To review progress of legal cases.
- Organize and maintain legal files and case management systems.
SKILLS
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.
· Strong knowledge of the Zambian laws and legal processes
· Excellent research and analytical skills
· Team-working skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
· High level of professionalism, confidentiality and attention to detail
· Exceptional organizational and time management skills
QUALIFICATIONS
The minimum qualifications therefore, are as follows:
· Grade 12 certificate with 5 ‘O’ level credits including Math and English
· Bachelor’s degree in Law
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a busy legal firm
