1. ROLE PURPOSE
The Sales & Design Consultant is responsible for assisting clients in selecting cohesive and suitable product combinations for their homes or projects while converting enquiries into confirmed sales.
The role combines product knowledge, aesthetic guidance and commercial awareness to ensure clients make confident decisions and orders are correctly specified.
The objective is to increase conversion rates while maintaining a premium showroom experience.
2. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Client Consultation & Design Guidance
- Understand client requirements, style and budget
- Recommend coordinated product selections (tiles, sanitaryware, finishes, accessories)
- Assist clients in making aesthetic and functional decisions
- Provide alternatives where products exceed budget or lead time
- Ensure selections are practical for installation
- Maintain a professional consultation environment

Clients leave confident in their selections without confusion or repeated changes.
B. Quotations & Sales Conversion
- Prepare accurate quotations
- Ensure items quoted are suitable and available
- Follow up pending quotations
- Convert consultations into confirmed orders
- Support homeowners and renovation clients through decision-making
- Maintain strong conversion performance

Consultations result in confirmed sales and minimal order revisions.
C. Coordination With Operations
- Confirm availability and lead times before promising
- Communicate special order requirements
- Align client expectations with delivery timelines
- Assist with resolving specification errors

D. Showroom Experience
- Present products professionally
- Maintain organised displays during consultations
- Provide a high-end client experience
- Build long-term client relationships

Clients experience a premium, advisory service rather than retail selling.
