Business Development & Operations Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development & Operations Manager to oversee and expand a growing business portfolio in Lusaka. The role will support and manage multiple business ventures, including:
• Fully Furnished Apartments (Short- and Long-Term Rentals)
• Luxury Spa (Startup Phase)
• Furniture Business (Startup Phase)
This position requires a highly organized professional who can effectively manage daily operations while also driving business growth, partnerships, and revenue generation.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the furnished apartments and support staff
- Implement operational systems, procedures, and reporting structures
- Ensure high standards of service delivery and operational efficiency
Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships
- Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to increase revenue
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients and partners
Startup Development
- Assist in the setup and launch of the luxury spa and furniture business
- Identify suppliers, establish vendor relationships, and support operational setup
- Develop operational guidelines and performance targets
Reporting & Financial Oversight
- Monitor operational expenses and budgets
- Prepare regular performance and financial reports for management
- Track key performance indicators and recommend improvements
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience in business development, operations management, or a similar role
- Strong background in sales strategy, client relationship management, and revenue growth
- Excellent financial understanding and reporting ability
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to analyze market trends and develop growth-oriented strategies
- Experience in hospitality, property management, retail, or startup environments is highly desirable
- Experience with CRM systems, data analysis, and market research tools is an advantage
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred
- High level of integrity, accountability, and ability to work independently
