Agri Sales Executive

Bureau Veritas Zambia requires services of an Agri Sales Assistant to be responsible for promoting our comprehensive range of Testing, Inspection, and Certification services within the agricultural sector. He /She will play a crucial role in expanding our services and client base by leveraging his/her expertise in agriculture and exceptional communication skills to engage potential clients.
The Job holder will report to the EAST & SOUTHERN AFRICA AGRI DIRECTOR and will be based in Lusaka. He/She will perform the Job in the framework of the Bureau Veritas Quality Assurance System, the code of Ethics and the Bureau Veritas Group Polices.
Minimum requirements
✓ Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agricultural Economics, or a related field.
✓ Minimum 3 years of experience in sales or business development within the agricultural sector.
✓ Strong understanding of the agricultural supply chain and market dynamics.
✓ Excellent communication and presentation skills.
✓ Ability to work independently and open doors for execution in new markets.
✓ Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Sales Strategy & Business Development
✓ Develop and implement agricultural sector-specific sales strategies
✓Identify and establish relationships with potential clients across the agricultural supply chain
✓Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities
✓ Conduct thorough market research and analysis to stay ahead of industry developments
✓ Meet or exceed sales targets and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts with growth plans
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
✓ Conduct presentations and meetings, effectively communicating Bureau Veritas' benefits and value
✓ Develop and present tailored proposals and quotations aligned with client-specific needs
✓ Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships to foster trust and loyalty
✓Collect and analyze client feedback to ensure satisfaction and drive continuous improvement
✓ Identify cross-sell opportunities for additional Bureau Veritas services to existing clients
✓Represent Bureau Veritas at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
Operational Execution & Collaboration
✓Collaborate with cross-functional (technical and operational) teams to ensure seamless project execution and address client-specific requirements
✓Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline development in Salesforce
✓ Stay updated on latest industry developments and Bureau Veritas service offerings, contributing to team knowledge sharing and professional development
Environmental
✓ Dispose waste in a responsible manner
✓ Enforcing safety regulations and national regulatory laws are adhered to by all personnel
✓ Report all environmental incidents to management immediately or as soon as reasonably practicable
✓ Use natural resources in a responsible manner
✓ Participate in all emergency drills
✓ Conduct work to customer specific requirements and adhere to customer rules (where applicable)
✓ Participate and contribute to impact and aspect register with regards to your area of responsibility
✓ Ensuring compliance with legal & moral obligations with regards to the position by understanding & implementing relevant sections of the environmental requirements for Zambia
Safety
✓ Report all incidents and accidents to management immediately or as soon as reasonably practicable
✓ Take care of my own health and safety while conducting work
✓ Conduct work to customer specific requirements and adhere to customer rules (where applicable)
✓ Participating in emergency training
✓ Participate and contribute to hazard and risk register with regards to your area of responsibility
✓ Ensuring compliance with legal & moral obligations with regards to the position by understanding & implementing relevant sections of the Occupational Health and Safety requirements for Zambia
✓ Maintains a high standard of housekeeping by implementing the relevant procedures with regards to best practices.
