Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transport and Logistics Officer to manage and coordinate transportation, distribution, and logistics operations. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient delivery of goods, optimize transport costs, and maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor transportation and logistics operations
- Manage fleet scheduling, routing, and maintenance
- Ensure timely delivery and distribution of goods
- Liaise with suppliers, drivers, and internal departments
- Track shipments and resolve any delivery issues
- Maintain accurate logistics records and reports
- Ensure compliance with safety, legal, and regulatory requirements
- Monitor fuel usage and transport costs to improve efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 2–4 years’ experience in transport and logistics
- Must be a member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT)
- Strong knowledge of logistics and fleet management systems
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
