An Assistant General Manager serves as the second -in-command, providing strategic and operational support to the General Manager (GM) while overseeing day-to-day business functions.
The role acts as abridge between upper management and departmental teams to drive efficiency and ensure organizational goals are met.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
1. Operational Oversight: Manage daily activities across all departments to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to company policies.
2. Strategic Support: Assist the General Manager in developing, implementing, and monitoring long term business plans and growth strategies.
3. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and evaluate department heads and staff; foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
4. Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation; monitor performance against financial targets to maximize profitability.
5. Stake Holder Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
6. Leadership Backup: Assume full responsibility for the organization’s operations and decision-making during the General Manager’s absence.
7. Always submit a report for your weekly and monthly activities report for your remuneration to the General Manager.
