The Sales and Marketing Executive will market and sell products and services of Nicol Technologies Limited, Vroomotive Autobody, and affiliated trading brands. This includes assessing vehicles for damage, scoping repair works, calculating company markup and statutory payments, issuing quotations, closing sales, and submitting work orders for repair to the workshop team and accounts office.
The role will focus on achieving sales targets while maintaining excellent customer relationships and promoting the company’s brand. This is a results-driven role with clear KPIs.

A. Sales & Marketing Executive
SALES RESPONSIBILITIES
1.0 LEAD GENERATION AND CUSTOMER ACQUISITION:
· Identify potential customers through outreach, referrals, and market research.
· Conduct vehicle inspections and damage assessments according to industry standards as well as established tools and company forms.
· Legally ensure quotes and contracts comply with local trade laws and consumer protection regulations (e.g., accurate pricing, transparent terms).
2.0 SALES CLOSING AND ORDER PROCESSING:
· Prepare and issue formal quotations that include company markup, statutory taxes, and fees.
· Obtain customer approval and signatures on quotations/contracts before work commences, ensuring legal enforceability.
· Submit approved repair work orders to the workshop team and forward billing information to accounts promptly.
· Submit invoices and follow-up on them at insurance firms and clients already served.
3.0 CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT:
· Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales using CRM systems, respecting data privacy laws.
· Handle customer complaints and queries swiftly to comply with consumer rights and maintain reputation.
· Maintain a status log of vehicles under his/her account, to be able to provide detailed updates on the status of repairs to management and the clients.
4.0 PRODUCT AND SERVICE SALES:
· Market and sell fabrication services, panel beating, mechanical repairs, and vehicle accessories per company pricing and quality guidelines.
MARKETING RESPONSIBILITIES
5.0 MARKET RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS:
· Conduct competitor analyses and monitor industry trends relevant to autobody repair, fabrication and automotive services.
· Use legal and ethical marketing practices—avoid false claims and comply with advertising standards.
· Research and submit tender documents using the online tendering system.
6.0 MARKETING CAMPAIGN PLANNING AND EXECUTION:
· Develop targeted campaigns through social media, print, and events to promote services and products.
· Obtain necessary permissions or licenses for advertising when required by local regulations.
7.0 BRAND MANAGEMENT
· Performing any other tasks, duties, or functions within the realm of his/her appointment, as well as attending to any other official duties that are assigned to this office from time to time.
8.0 COORDINATION AND REPORTING
· Collaborate with technical teams, mechanics, and panel beaters to ensure accurate repair scoping and job completion meeting quality standards.
· Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations during vehicle assessments and workshop operations.
· Compile and present monthly sales, marketing performance, and compliance reports to the Managing Director.
· Represent Nicol Technologies professionally in external meetings and community engagements to build trust and align with industry best practices.
PERSONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY STANDING ORDERS
The Sales and Marketing Executive is required to strictly adhere to all personal health and safety policies and procedures while performing duties, especially during vehicle assessments and interactions with the workshop environment. This includes but is not limited to:
· Take reasonable care of their own health and safety, as well as that of colleagues, customers, and third parties, while on company premises or engaged in company activities.
· Use all provided personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety gear properly and as instructed.
· Follow established safety procedures during vehicle assessments, repairs, fabrications, and other tasks to prevent accidents and injuries.
· Report any unsafe conditions, hazards, or incidents immediately to the supervisor or relevant safety officer.
· Participate in health and safety training sessions and safety meetings as scheduled.
· Ensure that vehicles and equipment meet safety standards before proceeding with repairs or sales activities.
· Cooperate with safety audits, inspections, and investigations to uphold a safe working environment.
· Be aware of emergency procedures, including locations of first aid facilities, fire exits, and emergency contacts.
· Abstain from activities that could compromise safety and report any concerns or violations promptly.
Failure to comply with health and safety policies may result in disciplinary action, including possible termination, to uphold the safety culture and legal compliance of Nicol Technologies Limited.
7.0 OTHER DUTIES
Performing any other tasks, duties, or functions within the realm of his/her appointment, as well as attending to any other official duties that are assigned to this office from time to time.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Professional Registration: Must be registered with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) or Zambia Institute of Marketing (ZIM), depending on specialization.
- Education: Minimum of a Diploma in Marketing, Mechanical Engineering, automotive technology, or related field. Higher qualifications will be an advantage.
- Experience: At least 3–5 years of proven expertise in autobody repair, mechanical services, or vehicle sales.
- Technical Competence:
- Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, repair, and maintenance.
- Skilled in autobody restoration and finishing.
- Familiarity with automotive sales processes and customer service.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Customer-focused mindset with commitment to safety and quality.
- Ability to deliver results under pressure and tight deadlines.
B. Panel Beaters
The panel beater is responsible for repairing, restoring, and maintaining the structural and aesthetic integrity of vehicles. This role involves assessing damage, reshaping and aligning panels, welding and fitting replacements, and preparing vehicles for painting. The panel beater ensures that all repairs meet safety, quality, and manufacturer standards, contributing to customer satisfaction and the reputation of Nicol Technologies Limited’s flagship Vroomotive Auto Repair Centre.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess vehicle damage and determine repair requirements.
- Remove dents, reshape panels, and realign vehicle frames.
- Cut, weld, and join replacement panels using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, filling, and priming.
- Collaborate with spray painters, mechanics, and service advisors to deliver seamless repairs.
- Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean working environment.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong technical knowledge of autobody repair methods and materials.
- Skilled in welding, cutting, and panel alignment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with other automotive specialists.
Qualifications
- Education: Minimum Diploma in Automotive Technology, Panel Beating and Spray Painting, or related field.
- Professional Registration: Must be registered with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).(Preffered)
- Experience: At least 3 years of proven autobody repair and panel-beating experience.
- Specialization: Strong background in vehicle body restoration, dent removal, welding, and spray painting preparation.
C. Accounts Assistant
The Accounts Assistant will support the finance team in managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and assisting with reporting and compliance. This role involves processing transactions, reconciling accounts, preparing documentation, and supporting audits. The Accounts Assistant plays a vital role in maintaining financial integrity and efficiency, contributing to Nicol Technologies Limited’s growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers.
- Process invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
- Support monthly and annual financial reporting.
- Assist with audits, compliance, and statutory requirements.
- Provide administrative support to the Admin department.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Minimum Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional Registration: Membership with the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA) is required.
- Experience: At least 2–3 years of practical accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
