Position: Accountant
Location: Lusaka, Zambia
Gross Salary: K12,000 per month
Job Summary
We are seeking qualified and experienced Accountants to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting the overall financial management of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and update accounting records and general ledgers.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
Process payroll and ensure timely salary payments.
Prepare and submit tax returns and statutory reports.
Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Support internal and external audit processes.
Prepare financial reports for management decision-making.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
ZICA Licentiate or ACCA Level 3 qualification.
Minimum of 3 years' relevant work experience.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
