POSITION SUMMARY
The Purchasing & Supply Intern will support the Procurement Department in sourcing, purchasing, and inventory management activities to ensure timely delivery of goods and services to company projects and operations.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in sourcing suppliers and requesting quotations for goods and services
- Prepare Local Purchase Orders, Goods Received Notes, and maintain procurement files
- Support stock taking, inventory control, and warehouse management
- Follow up with suppliers on deliveries to site and head office
- Maintain supplier database and procurement records
- Assist with tender and bidding document preparation
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Procurement Manager
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Must be a Zambian Citizen
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated with a Diploma/Degree in Purchasing & Supply, Procurement, Logistics, or Business Administration from a recognized institution
- Minimum of Credit or 60% average
- Computer literate: MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Must know how to bid using the e-GP platform on the ZPPA portal*
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License*
- Must be a member of ZIPS or CIPS*
- Knowledge of ZPPA guidelines and ERP systems will be an added advantage
- Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Willing to travel to project sites when required. - must be a Lusaka resident living near Northmead areas .
