About AVET
The Apostolic Voice Education Trust (AVET) is a registered nonprofit organization committed to transforming communities through education, leadership development, mental health awareness, vocational skills, and community empowerment. We work with volunteers, educators, professionals, and partners to create sustainable impact across Zambia and Africa.
We are expanding our Digital Media & Communications Department and are recruiting passionate volunteers to help grow our online presence.
Available Volunteer Opportunities
We are recruiting volunteers for:
- Facebook Team (3 Positions)
- Instagram Team (3 Positions)
- LinkedIn Team (3 Positions)
- TikTok Team (3 Positions)
- YouTube Team (3 Positions)
- WhatsApp Community Team (3 Positions)
- Threads Team (3 Positions)
Successful applicants will be assigned to one platform based on their interests, experience, and skills.
Responsibilities
- Create engaging social media content
- Design graphics using Canva or similar tools
- Write captions and educational posts
- Create short-form videos and reels
- Respond to comments and messages
- Promote AVET programmes and campaigns
- Support fundraising and awareness initiatives
- Monitor engagement and prepare simple performance reports
- Collaborate with the Digital Media & Communications team
Requirements
- Must be based in Zambia
- Passion for social media and community impact
- Good written and spoken English
- Creative, organised, and willing to learn
- Reliable internet access
- Basic knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, WhatsApp, or Threads
- Canva or graphic design skills are an added advantage but are not required
