Key Responsibilities
- Protect people and property:
Safeguarding buildings, assets, and individuals from unauthorized access, theft, damage, and other criminal or unsafe activities.
Operating and reviewing video surveillance systems and monitoring alarm systems for any suspicious activity or breaches.
Conducting regular patrols on foot to inspect security, check perimeters, and ensure that doors, windows, and gates are secured.
Monitoring and authorizing the entry and departure of employees, visitors, and vehicles, and verifying identities or issuing access badges.
Swiftly responding to alarms, emergencies, or disturbances, and taking appropriate action, which may include detaining trespassers or violators.
Maintaining daily logs of activities, noting any issues, incidents, or irregularities, and documenting them in clear, concise reports.
Informing individuals about rule infractions and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety procedures.
- Communicate with authorities:
Contacting and cooperating with local law enforcement, fire departments, or other emergency services when necessary.
Essential Skills and Attributes

Ability to effectively communicate with people and write clear, detailed reports.
Sound judgment to handle various situations calmly and professionally.
Capability of standing for long periods, walking, and occasional physical tasks.

Qualifications
- Prior experience in security or a related field is preferred.
- Grade 9 or grade 12 certificate.
- Zambia Police clearance.
