Yalelo is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented procurement analyst. The Analyst will be involved in goal setting and preparation of SOPs on various procurement practices and their alignment to business policies. He/she will enhance accuracy, efficiency and visibility of procurement processes to both the end user and the organisation.
 Responsibilities
•          Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements
•          Develop and update procurement policies, procedures, and departmental objectives. 
•          Maintain an organizes supplier database, up to date record keeping of KYC of vendors, preparation of KPIs and SOP s for effective process follow ups.
•          Vendor onboarding and related compliance checks against company policies.
•          Ensure effective use of procurement dashboards for increased efficiency in the procurement to pay process
•          Increase visibility and accuracy of the procurement to pay process to the business 
•          Prepare and update preferred vendors list and follow up of preferential request from end user for compliance.
•          Monitor supplier performance and ensure adherence to contract terms and service level agreements. 
•          Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, operations, and legal teams, to align procurement activities with business objectives
•          Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier information in procurement systems
•          Conduct cost-benefit analyses to determine the financial impact of procurement decisions
•          Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in all procurement activities
•          Prepare detailed reports on procurement activities, spending trends, and supplier performance for management review
•          Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline procurement operations and enhance overall efficiency
•          Ensure timely reporting to meet internal and regulatory requirements. 
•          Train end user on procurement to pay procedures and compliance from time to time 
Qualifications
•          Diploma or Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business
•          Administration, or related field.
•          Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain, preferably in FMCG or aquaculture.
•          Full Member of Zambia Institute of Purchasing & Supply (ZIPS)
•          Computer literate – proficient in MS office packages and ERP system such as Sage, SAP, etc.
•          Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
•          Self-starter with demonstrated ability in continuous improvement with technological dynamics
