Zimworx is seeking a highly skilled and analytical IT Support Engineer (Tier 3) to lead advanced technical troubleshooting, infrastructure optimization, and system escalations. This senior-level position requires deep technical expertise, leadership in resolving complex IT incidents, and strategic involvement in technology planning and process enhancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and resolve high-level system, network, and application issues escalated from Tier 1 and Tier 2 teams.
- Lead troubleshooting of infrastructure components — servers, firewalls, cloud systems, and virtual environments.
- Perform system diagnostics, root-cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.
- Administer servers, virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V), and backup solutions.
- Maintain and optimize Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Collaborate with vendors and engineering teams on complex technical integrations.
- Develop automation scripts (PowerShell, Bash, Python) to streamline support operations.
- Mentor Tier 1 and Tier 2 teams to enhance overall IT capability and response efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in advanced IT support, infrastructure, or systems administration.
- In-depth knowledge of networking, server management, and virtualization technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, or hybrid cloud environments.
- Proficiency in Windows Server administration, endpoint management, and security protocols.
- Familiarity with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python).
- Relevant certifications preferred: CompTIA Network+/Security+, Microsoft Certified: Systems Administrator, CCNA, or equivalent.
