Job Title: Manager Supply Chain Operations
The key responsibilities for this role include but not limited to the following:
- Coordinate and manage supply chain dashboards and reporting, ensuring timely updates to business units and stakeholders.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports on procurement status, contracts, and performance metrics.
- Develop and manage the unit budget, aligning with business objectives and least-cost operating strategies.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, directives, and guidelines, documenting exceptions and driving operational excellence.
- Support and execute regulatory compliance actions relevant to the telecommunications industry.
- Manage logistics, courier, and travel categories, ensuring adherence to group and local travel policies.
- Oversee vendor help desk operations, serving as the single point of contact for supplier-related matters.
- Conduct supplier evaluations and performance management, including on-time delivery and contract SLA compliance.
- Identify, record, and monitor supply chain risks, maintaining risk registers and conducting quarterly risk assessments.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (business partners, legal, regulators, vendors) to negotiate and implement sourcing strategies.
- Lead transformational initiatives within Supply Chain Management Centres of Excellence (CoEs), driving change and continuous improvement.
Candidate Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate with 5 credit or better of which English and Mathematics are a must
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Supply / Supply Chain Management / Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration
- Member of the; Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MZIPS), Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS)
- 4 – 7 years relevant working experience preferably within a large organization; telecom/FMCG background is advantageous.
- Experience in Supply Chain leading practices and trends
- Advanced skills in MS Office Suite and specifically Excel, Word, Power BI, PowerPoint and Project Management
- Experienced driver with valid driving license
