I. Title: Corporate Accountant
Location: Lusaka, Zambia
Contract period: Permanent
Work Schedule: Full – time
Organizational Relationships: Reports to Managing Director
Supervises: Accounting Officers
Coordinates with: All business units and Directors
II. Statement of responsibilities
Cash management, management accounting, statutory reporting, corporate secretarial, advisory.
III. Essential Functions
1. Account reconciliations
2. Preparing general financial statements, management discussions, and analysis
3. Fiscal management
4. Budgeting
5. Statutory compliance
IV. Qualifications
ZICA, ACCA finalist or an undergraduate degree
V. Required
At least six years of accounting experience, demonstrated project management skills, strong Excel skills, and working knowledge of at least one accounting system. Working knowledge of Zambian tax requirements, persuasive communication skills, experience dealing with the Zambia Revenue Authority, and exposure to IFRS are essential.
