Position: Field Assistant Trainee (Entry-Level)

Contract Type & Duration
This is a trainee position offered on contract basis, with an initial three (3) month probationary period. Strong performers may be considered for contract extension or longer-term engagement based on performance and project requirements.

What You Will Learn & Do
As a Field Assistant, you will gain hands-on experience supporting agricultural field activities and farmer engagement. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the deployment and monitoring of natural soil supplements
- Supporting farmer engagement, registration, and field coordination activities
- Collecting soil samples and preparing them for laboratory analysis
- Recording accurate field data and maintaining field documentation
- Supporting basic field reporting and logistics
- Carrying out additional field-related tasks as assigned by supervisors
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
- Graduate Diploma in Agriculture or a related field
- No formal work experience required (field work exposure is an advantage)
- Based in Livingstone or willing to relocate
Essential Skills & Requirements
- Valid motorbike riding license
- Android smartphone with good camera quality
- Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, email)
- Willingness to work outdoors and travel to farming communities
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Good communication skills and positive attitude
Working Conditions
- Extensive outdoor fieldwork
- Travel to rural and remote farming locations
- Work under varying weather conditions
