JOB PURPOSE
To identify, evaluate, and manage tender opportunities specifically within the security services sector, including security guard contracts, through the Zambia Public Procurement Authority e GP platform and other procurement portals. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and coordinating competitive tender submissions with a strong focus on government security service contracts.
IMPORTANT ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT
- This position is strictly reserved for candidates with proven experience in the security guard industry and a demonstrable record of successfully winning government tenders for security guard services.
- Applicants must have direct experience preparing and submitting bids for security guard contracts through the Zambia Public Procurement Authority procurement system.
Applications from candidates who do not meet this requirement will automatically be rejected without further review.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor the Zambia Public Procurement Authority e GP portal daily to identify security guard tender opportunities.
- Download and analyse tender documents related to security guard services.
- Advise management on viable tender opportunities and submission strategies.
- Prepare and coordinate the compilation of technical and financial bid documents.
- Ensure all statutory and compliance documents required for security service tenders are valid and complete.
- Upload tender documents correctly through the e GP system before submission deadlines.
- Maintain an organised database of all submitted tenders and outcomes.
- Track awarded contracts and support contract mobilisation when tenders are won.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience preparing and submitting security guard tenders on the Zambia Public Procurement Authority e GP platform.
- Proven record of winning short term or long term government security service contracts.
- Strong understanding of public procurement procedures in Zambia.
- Excellent knowledge of security guard contract requirements, staffing structures, and compliance documentation.
- Strong organisational and document management skills.
- Ability to work under strict submission deadlines.
PREFERRED EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma or degree in Procurement and Supply, Business Administration, Security Management, or a related field.
- Professional training or membership from the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply will be an added advantage.
REMUNERATION
Basic salary: K4,500 plus performance based incentives tied to successful tender awards.
