Tami Fresh Products is a Zambian food manufacturing company focused on value addition of locally grown agricultural produce. We produce a range of jams, sauces, fruit beverages, and other food products while supporting local farmers and promoting sustainable food processing.
As we expand our market presence locally and regionally, we are looking for a motivated and entrepreneurial Sales & Business Development Executive to grow with the company.
Job Summary
The Sales & Business Development Executive will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, expanding market reach, and increasing product sales. The successful candidate will actively engage with retailers, wholesalers, supermarkets, restaurants, and distributors to promote Tami Fresh products.
This role is ideal for a self-driven individual who enjoys being in the field, building relationships, and closing sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new sales opportunities in retail, wholesale, hospitality, and distribution channels.
- Visit supermarkets, grocery stores, restaurants, and distributors to introduce and promote Tami Fresh products.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key accounts.
- Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets.
- Negotiate product listings and shelf placements in stores.
- Coordinate product promotions, sampling, and merchandising activities.
- Monitor market trends, competitor products, and pricing.
- Prepare and submit weekly sales and market activity reports.
- Assist in expanding the company’s distribution network locally and regionally.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- Minimum 2 years experience in sales or business development.
- Experience in FMCG or food products sales will be an added advantage.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented.
- Ability to work independently and manage field sales activities.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license will be an advantage.
- Ability to travel within Lusaka and surrounding areas.
- Good understanding of the local retail and distribution market.
