Job Title: Key Accounts Manager – Mandarin Speaking
We are seeking a Key Account Manager with strong Mandarin language proficiency to manage strategic relationships with Mandarin-speaking enterprise clients. The role requires regular engagement with stakeholders across Chinese-speaking markets, contract negotiations, and account growth initiatives. The key responsibility for this role involves Contributing to revenue growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction within the Chinese Segment by executing targeted customer acquisition and retention strategies. This includes developing tailored engagement plans, strengthening long-term client relationships, and leveraging market insights to drive sustainable business performance and competitive advantage.
Under the supervision of the Regional Sales Manager: below are the Key Job Responsibilities:
Core Responsibilities:
- Provides input for the development of the business plan for Segment as requested;
- Assesses product and service needs and prepares proposals for solutions within our value proposition for Enterprise clients. Provides input in the process of developing relevant solutions that answer to client needs;
- Processes the service contract for new clients following MTNZ policy and established procedure. Maintains client file by filing all relevant documentation;
- Processes provisioning through the Sales Support, for products and services for new clients;
- Conduct education sessions for new clients to ensure that clients understand and optimise the use of new products and services, leading to high satisfaction levels;
- Interacts regularly with clients to ensure that a high level on-going technical support post implementation of solutions and the resolution of billing and other issues that may arise within agreed SLA;
- Develop and maintains good business relationships with clients which enables us to quickly and amicably resolve client challenges, enhance goodwill and loyalty and increase the chances of additional business;
- Monitor competitor products, services and activities in the Segment and makes recommendations for action to counteract the impact of such activities within MTNZ policy ;
- Apply MTN Enterprise policies and principles appropriately in all acquisition and retention activities xi ;
- Ensure that clients meet their payment obligations on a timely basis. Ensures, in liaison with the Credit team that all accounts in their area are sitting within the allowable credit period;
- Stay abreast of developments in areas of expertise and performs to the highest ethical and professional standards ;
- Carry out any related duties that will enhance the mission of the job.
Candidate Requirements:
- Grade 12 Certificate (or equivalent secondary school qualification).
- Professional Diploma in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- Fluency in Mandarin is required to manage and grow relationships with Mandarin-speaking key accounts;
Experience
- At least 3 years of proven experience in a sales environment.
- A minimum of 1 year in the telecommunications industry.
- Demonstrated success in customer-facing roles, including enterprise account management, solution sales, or business development.
- Telecommunications experience will be added advantage.
