As Gardener for one of our homes, you will be responsible for the daily care, maintenance, and aesthetic appeal of our outdoor and indoor plant environments. Your main duties will include:
- Landscape Maintenance: Mowing, edging, weeding, pruning, and trimming lawns, hedges, trees, and shrubs to maintain a clean, professional aesthetic.
- Plant Care & Cultivation: Planting, transplanting, and nurturing seasonal flowers, trees, and indoor office plants.
- Irrigation Management: Monitoring, operating, and basic troubleshooting of automated watering systems to ensure optimal water usage.
- Seasonal Prep & Cleanup: Managing leaf removal, seasonal planting rotations, and ensuring walkways are clear of green debris or hazards.
- Pest & Weed Control: Identifying plant diseases or pests and applying appropriate, environmentally conscious treatments.
- Equipment Care: Operating and safely maintaining gardening tools and machinery (mowers, trimmers, leaf blowers, etc.).
- Composting & Waste Management: Managing and maintaining a backyard composting system, converting household and garden waste into nutrient-rich soil.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in professional gardening, commercial landscaping, or groundskeeping.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of plant care, soil health, pruning techniques, and seasonal planting.
- Skills: Ability to operate commercial landscaping machinery safely and efficiently.
- Physical Fitness: Capability to perform strenuous physical labor in various weather conditions.
- Attributes: High attention to detail, reliability, and a polite, professional demeanor suitable for a professional environment.
- Asset: A formal qualification in Horticulture, Agriculture, or a related field is a plus but not mandatory.
