A local Courier Company is looking for an energetic, Proactive and detail oriented individual for a role of Dispatch officer in the fast-paced Operations department based in Lusaka.
Key responsibilities

Shipment Documentation
Prepare and process dispatch documents such as delivery notes, invoices, waybills, and manifests.
Ensure all packages are properly labelled with correct addresses and tracking numbers.

Package Coordination
Receive, record, and verify parcels for dispatch.
Match packages with customer orders and delivery schedules.
Ensure correct loading of parcels onto delivery vehicles.

Communication & Customer Service
Liaise with drivers, riders, and customers regarding delivery schedules and updates.
Respond to customer inquiries about dispatch status.
Report delays, damages, or missing items promptly.

Data Entry & Record Keeping
Update dispatch logs, tracking systems, and records accurately.
Maintain a database of dispatched and pending deliveries.

Coordination with Operations
Work with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely order preparation.
Monitor dispatch timelines to avoid delays.

Compliance & Safety
Ensure that packages meet courier company and regulatory requirements
Follow company safety standards during loading and handling of parcels.

Reporting
Generate daily/weekly dispatch reports for management.
Highlight challenges such as route delays, lost packages, or customer complaints.
Qualifications
Minimum of a certificate in logistics, Business or related training. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite.
